Rae Jones, LMSW (They/Them)
Staff Therapist
Rae is a Black, queer, agender femme based in Brooklyn, NY. Their therapy practice is based in relational and liberationist values, centering client identity and experience in the pathway toward personal growth and healing from systems of oppression. Rae’s practice grounds in the internal process of unlearning harmful and limiting social norms, the guided effort toward self-awareness and self-actualization, and the growth of personal confidence and honesty with the self. As a therapist, Rae’s main goal is to help clients and couples find and step into their most authentic selves, all while shedding social pressures to conform. Rae utilizes relational, psychodynamic, sex-positive, and anti-racist therapeutic approaches, while emphasizing collaboration, trust, and self-determination with their clients.
Coming from a background in institutional and systems-focused justice work, as well as with their personal lived experiences as a queer, Black, femme, Rae is committed to a trauma-informed, intersectional, and anti-oppressive therapeutic process and relationship with clients. Rae has worked with and continues to prioritize people of color, folks of biracial experience, folks across the gender and sexuality spectrum, individuals engaging in or interested in polyamory and/or EMN, kink, and more. Rae also works with couples on topics related to communication, attachment, sex/sexuality, non-monogamy, and interracial relationships.
Rae practices therapy in New York and offers coaching anywhere.
