Laurel Meng, LCSW (She/Her)

Laurel Meng is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides both individual and relational psychotherapy. She specializes in anxiety, relationships (of all structures), sexuality, polyamory/non-monogamy, and multicultural identities. She is especially passionate about supporting queer people of color and individuals from immigrant communities.
Laurel’s therapeutic approach is grounded in attachment theory. Through deep exploration of past and present relationship dynamics, Laurel helps her clients engage in the hard work of building relationship security. Laurel is especially excited to work with couples who are committed to untangling stuck patterns around communication, sex, and intimacy. She also enjoys helping clients build self-compassion, improve communication skills, and get more in touch with their emotional experiences. As a relational therapist, she is committed to taking an open, authentic, and engaging approach to understanding her clients’ strengths, needs, and values.
Laurel received her education at the University of Chicago and has continued to practice in Chicago, IL ever since. As a child of Chinese immigrants, Laurel is also conversationally fluent in Mandarin.
