Ari Torres, LSW, MEd (She/They)
Staff Therapist
Ari is trained as both a mental health and sex therapist, holding an MSW and MEd in Human Sexuality from Widener University’s renowned sex therapy program. In practice, their approach is decolonial, facilitating whole-person healing that incorporates body, mind, spirit, and sexuality (including asexuality, low desire, and everything in between).
She encourages you to bring your full self to the therapeutic space, knowing you’ll be met with care, non-judgment, and nuance. Ari’s practice is rooted in values of autonomy and consent, recognizing that you are the expert of your own experience: they prioritize your right to choose as they offer resources and guidance, incorporating frequent check-ins and honoring both your “yes” and your “no.” Ari aims to show up as a supportive companion on your care journey, promoting insight, self-compassion, and growth.
As a queer Black non-binary person on the asexual spectrum, Ari’s identities holistically inform the way she shows up as a therapist. She is passionate about working with people on the asexual/aromantic spectrums, those living with chronic STIs, and BIPOC navigating oppressive systems. They look forward to supporting you with building and maintaining intimate, fulfilling relationships; working through conflict and repair in ways that promote connection; unlearning harmful beliefs and coming into alignment with your values; and building the life you deeply desire. She is excited to bear witness as you step into your authentic self.
Ari practices therapy in Pennsylvania and New York and offers coaching anywhere
